Our corporate partner, David Edgar, recently had the opportunity to sit down with one of his. Iconic deal lawyer Jim Freund is a master in understanding the ins and outs of complex mergers and acquisitions (M&A). Jim was at the negotiating table for many of the most significant M&A deals in history and has influenced generations of lawyers and M&A professionals over his long career as a lawyer, author, teacher, and mediator.  His many books include Anatomy of a Merger: Strategies and Techniques for Negotiating Corporate Acquisitions and Smart Negotiating: How to Make Good Deals in the Real World.

During their discussion, David and Jim talk about the art of doing deals and dive into Jim’s most important negotiating lessons he’s learned over a lifetime of getting the most challenging deals done.
